Her age was just teen when she made her debut in the music world winning local competitions at the age of 10 old, and recorded her first album when she was fourteen years of age. After signing by Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. The band invited her to join the group with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as releasing her debut album in the group in the year 1989.
