Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born into an ethnically diverse family. The mother of her child is English and her father is Nigerian. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with a BA in acting. During her time at the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions, including The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. In the years since she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. After this success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha in The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. She also appeared in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her debut in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama series ran in the US on The CW for only two episodes, but it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe's exit from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the very first episode of season three. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe got married to her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. Her four older brothers were also present: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey in the winter and summer months. She grew up in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She was a dancer. When she reached two and a half and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley competed in ballet, tap and jazz in high divisions. All of the important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the honor of "top soloist".
